B2B Event Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic B2B Event Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and execution to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, operating, and executing high-quality B2B events, ensuring they run smoothly and have full budgetary control.
This role also involves supporting the Senior Event Manager in ensuring the achievement of desired profit margins and high levels of event satisfaction. Contributing to nurturing junior team members, improving internal project processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, content production, and research teams, globally to deliver exceptional event experiences. This multifaceted role involves organising Award Ceremonies, conferences/exhibitions, roundtables, and cocktail receptions globally.
The role may require occasional evening and weekend work, depending on event schedules, and must be able to travel internationally as required.
What will you do?
Event Management and Execution
- End-to-end project management of allocated events, collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the Senior Event Manager.
- Lead venue sourcing, selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationships.
- Support the Senior Event Manager in overseeing projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Organise staffing plans, task allocation, and travel arrangements.
- Manage event branding, signage, and collateral, ensuring brand consistency.
- Act as project lead on-site, liaising with venues and stakeholders.
- Prepare post-event reports highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Budget & Profit Margin Management
- Ensure accurate budgets are in place for events and control costs to deliver within budget.
- Develop creative solutions for new revenue streams and maximise profitability.
- Maintain realistic forecasts and submit accurate accounts to deadlines.
- Provide financial reports and reconciliations to the Senior Event Manager.
Sponsorship & Stakeholder Management
- Compile relevant information for clients including clear instructions and event logistics.
- Oversee sponsor fulfilment, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Ensure risk management and compliance, conducting thorough risk assessments.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Content, Finance) to fulfill requirements.
Background & Experience to Succeed in this Role
- Minimum 5 years in B2B event management, ideally in legal/finance sectors, with a proven track record.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale corporate events, including budget control.
- Proficiency in venue contracting and negotiation, securing favourable terms.
- Strong multitasking and prioritisation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Knowledge of international event risk policies (VAT, modern slavery, anti-bribery, sanctions).
- Experience fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Proactive problem-solving with strong accountability and ownership.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and travel internationally as required.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

The base salary range for this role is $60,000 – $70,000 USD (commensurate with experience). This position is also eligible for a variable bonus at the Company’s discretion.
