The Role

We are seeking a strategic, driven and editorially excellent Editor to lead the direction of IFLR. This is a senior role suited to an experienced B2B Editor with a passion for journalism, deep curiosity, and the ability to mentor and inspire a talented team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and edit content to an excellent standard.
  • Shape and refine IFLR’s editorial ‘business of law’ strategy with a forward-thinking approach
  • Lead, manage and coach editorial team members
  • Use data analytics to inform editorial decisions and measure success
  • Leverage proprietary research data to boost editorial coverage
  • Chair IFLR Awards ceremonies
  • Collaborate across functions including research, marketing, and sales
  • Enhance the brand's professional profile
  • Prioritise and deliver projects efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Confidently use AI to support and create content
  • Commission and edit expert commentary from legal professionals and industry leaders

    Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Exceptional written English and editing ability
  • Strong sense of journalistic instinct and a keen eye for a compelling story
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strategic thinker
  • Bold, and unafraid to test new concepts
  • Confident networker and relationship-builder
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

    Desired Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience in B2B journalism or editing
  • Journalism qualification ideal
  • Undergraduate degree or higher
  • Spanish language skills a bonus
